We all knew that Nintendo president Satoru Iwata would be taking the stage for his Game Developers Conference keynote speech in San Francisco today, but whether or not a rumoured new trailer for The Legend of Zelda on GameCube would be shown, remained something of a mystery to many.

Naturally, Kikizo had its finger on the pulse; the trailer was shown just minutes ago at the packed conference. Seeing it may not be as much of a surprise as the shock unveiling back at last May's E3, but this new trailer is guaranteed to leave fans salivating.

And, with highly convincing gossip reaching us that the all-new "mature" Zelda for GameCube - which is scheduled to receive an official subtitle at some stage soon - will be playable at this year's E3 (if you behave yourselves), it seems there's more than just some new Nintendo hardware to look forward to come May.

With the action on display in this latest trailer, not to mention some utterly gorgeous environments (hell, there's even a giant one-eyeballed spider and a room jam-packed full of dead people), there can be little doubt that Link - and for that matter, Nintendo - is teh cool once again.
