Psy-Phi: Trailer of Suzuki's New Game
Yu Suzuki's new arcade game to deliver intriguing touch-screen gameplay.
Last month Sega's smattering of new arcade game announcements included Psy-Phi, an all-new title from Sega legend Yu Suzuki.
Running on the new Lindbergh arcade hardware, Psy-Phi is a futuristic fighting game in which combatants use energy boosts to manoeuvre around in a floating 3D space, similar to what you might find in Dragon Ball Z. Interestingly though, there are no traditional controls on the arcade machine, and players must instead use the screen itself as the input method.
Tapping on the touch-sensitive screen allows you to move your fighter around and attack your opponent, and as you'd expect from the creator of Virtua Fighter, the gameplay is set to offer a considerable level of depth.
Psy-Phi isn't visually stunning by any means, but it seems the game will be unique enough to warrant some attention. See what you think in this trailer for the game, that was released recently and we've uploaded in 60fps form. Stay tuned for more on Psy-Phi.
