X-Men Claw Their Way Onto Xbox 360
The game of the movie that is actually a game related to the movie, seeing as how it's set before the movie. You follow? First screens.
Director Bryan Singer may have jumped ship from the X-Men movie franchise, but Activision is betting that fans are still going to be there this summer when all X break loose in the third mutant movie. The tie-in to the upcoming summer blockbuster is, however, going to give you something different.
Rather than simply letting you play the movie's greatest hits, X-Men: The Official Movie Game (the name isn't final yet) hands you the reins in a time before X-Men: The Last Stand takes place.
Comic book fans will be ecstatic to hear that legendary X-Men scribe Chris Claremont has signed on to work on the game's storyline with X-Men: The Last Stand writer Zak Penn.
Playing as Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Iceman, you'll visit locales from the upcoming flick and explore a scenario that climaxes right where the movie kicks off. Of course, you'll be able to use the signature moves of the three heroes and face off with notorious X-Men villains with the help of the rich stable of X-Men.
X-Men: The Official Movie Game will be out for all current platforms, including the Xbox 360, this May, just in time for the movie's premiere on 25 May.
