BioShock Delayed to August
That's one less game to play during the summer break.
August is the new June for publisher 2K Games, which has revealed that its story-boosting shooter BioShock will miss its target release date and won't be out until later in the year.
In a post at the game's official community site, 2K Games' Elizabeth Tobey wrote that BioShock would be out in North America on 21 August, pushing it back from the latest June estimate. Keeping with the recent trend of close international releases, 2K Games confirmed to Kikizo that the game would be out in Europe on 24 August.
And the reason for the delay? 2K Games is quiet on the matter for now.
It could be that, like most publishers, 2K Games is choosing to avoid the usually languid summer months or it could just be that the game needs a bit more time in development. Only 2K Games and developer Irrational know for sure.
