GTA IV PC: Watch Video Editor Downloads
We've got eight awesome examples of what you can put together in GTA IV PC's Video Editor Mode, as well as an overall video tutorial. Plus: first details of the Video Editor Event where you vote for your favourite site's clips!
OK, first something of a confession. We'd been playing the anticipated PC version of GTA IV since about two weeks ago and we've not done much about it. Sure, we already brought you our detailed hands-on preview. But now we'd had the chance to play it in the comfort of only our socks (we're getting bored of the 'just our pants' gag), you expected us to bring you more.
Truth is, we ran into some, er, technical issues because all the kit we're playing the game on is so brand spankingly new and shiny (our fault). And then once that was sorted, the version of the game we had expired! (Not our fault). That happens with press samples sometimes so don't worry about your copy expiring or anything. Anyway, it's just been one of those weeks. The game is out today in North America and Europe tomorrow, so we're just changing over to a retail copy of the game for review.
But that is not the most exciting thing happening right now. You'll soon be hearing a lot of buzz about a Video Editor Event for games magazines and websites. A whole bunch of games media are participating, and the idea is that each site submits their own creation from the PC game's really quite awesome Video Editor mode, which we reported on in detail in our preview. Videos from the journalists will be uploaded to the Rockstar Social Club and then the fans at large - that's you - will judge the best video submission. The winning magazine or website gets $10,000 from Rockstar to donate to the charity of its choosing, as well as the adoration of millions, possibly. Can't say fairer than that.
So watch out for that. In the meantime, you absolutely must check out these videos which have been created Rockstar in the Video Editor mode of GTA IV PC, and sent to us, to show to you. Check them out below - they're simply awesome and give you an idea of just how much you'll be able to achieve in this PC-exclusive addition to the game.
