FAQ & Notes About Kikizo Videos
No direct linking We provide all videos and screens to users for free in good faith they will abide by our rules to not direct link any media on web forums, in email, etc. Please report any abuse.
Permissible linking You're more than welcome to share our coverage by linking to any Article, or Media Viewer page (like this) on the site.
Streaming Kikizo uses super-fast video servers, however it might not be worth streaming a video (watching as it downloads) if your connection is less than the video's bitrate, eg. a 4Mbps video on a 1M connection...
Direct Download ...in these cases, or if you want to keep the video, download it - use the "right click, save target as" link on the Media Viewer page. You may need to press "stop" on the initial video window first. Once download starts, close or browse away from the Viewer page.
Can't connect? Firstly please note that since our videos are served via FTP, non-IE users will not see the video play in the video window and should instead use the 'save target as' link. If you still can't connect at all... a very small number of users have this problem because of IP conflict outside of our control. Try changing your dynamic IP address by disconnecting and reconnecting to the Net, and try again. Still not working - it will likely start randomly working even from a "problematic" IP after a few hours. We're doing our best to minimise this problem.
Playback problems? WMP10 is the recommended player - especially for hi-res, hi-bitrate and 60fps vids. If playback staggers it could be your PC or monitor refresh settings, codec issues, or not enough PC speed.
