FIFA 07: Video Interview
The videogame soccer season is underway and EA's Hugues Ricour explains why FIFA 07 could be the game you want this season.
This year the stakes have changed for every soccer fan looking for the best game on the market. While Xbox 360 has both leading titles sewn up exclusively (in Europe at least, and only under the particular name in that territory), more interesting is the advances made by FIFA 07 in its sprint to the next generation versus gamer favourite of recent years, Pro Evolution Soccer.

As the game's producer at EA, Hugues Ricour, tells Kikizo in this new video feature, FIFA leads the new generation of soccer titles not just with the fully fledged licensed teams, player likenesses and stadia, but with an absolute focus on gameplay that's powered by new technology that represents EA's biggest R&D investment into FIFA to date.
While we at Kikizo are still arguing about which title ultimately comes off better this year between FIFA 07 (review) and PES6 (review), Hugues was the one that sat down with us while Konami's PES creator Seabass swanned off to talk to lesser game sites, so we'll happily advocate that FIFA is worth your pennies for all its evident strong points, despite it still very slightly falling short of PES6's finer gameplay points.
After all, shouldn't next generation offer something a little bit new? We hope you enjoy this latest video feature as Ricour does his darndest to say FIFA is champion this year.
