Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Interview
Ernie "Winston Zeddemore" Hudson puts down his proton pack long enough to tell us about his new game.

Hudson: I always run into someone who says, "I saw my father." I don't doubt that they maybe saw something, whether it was their father, I don't know. But I have some experiences that I can't explain but I also can't go definitively, "I know this is from another world." And I don't want to know. If you die, please don't visit me. My next door neighbour, he died and his wife freaked out because she thought she heard him coming in. And she thought, "Great". Now she can't stay there anymore. Just be aware, I'll be joining you soon enough.
Kikizo: Have you guys come together and done the voice parts already?
Hudson: Well, we didn't get together, because you know when you do voice over stuff they record separately. I think Danny did his first, Bill Atherton, Bill's brother Brian, and me. Harold's shooting a movie in Florida so he should have done it by now. And I know Bill [Murray]'s doing his in Hawaii. So we didn't all come in the same room. It would have been great but it didn't happen. And I think it really doesn't matter.
Kikizo: How long did your particular sessions last? Was it more than a day?
Hudson: Yeah, I think it was about three days and then probably about four hours a piece. We didn't spend a real long time. Nothing like we do for a movie, because most of it is just computer generated.
Kikizo: Presumably it's not just one take after another, is it?
Hudson: Oh, it is, it is. They have an idea of how they want the line and you do it this way. It's pretty tedious. Not a lot of fun. And because it's an action game, I think it was the third day that I lost my voice. You know. [Shouts] Over Here! [Laughter] Come! Just over and over and over and over until they get it down. [Shouts] Behind You! [Imitates producer] "Can you do it again, Ernie? Can you give us five in a row?"
Kikizo: Have you seen the whole script or just your lines?
Hudson: The whole script.
Kikizo: What's your impression of it as someone from the film industry?
Hudson: I think it's great. I think it's really good. I was very impressed. And I know that Danny and Harold took a lot of time. And luckily, I think this one they really tried to go for originality, obviously still staying true to the first one. I thought the second movie they didn't and I was actually personally - I don't think I would ever say this to them - personally I was a little disappointed because I thought... the second movie was really trying to recreate the first movie. That was just my opinion. I thought the first movie was so original, which made it really special, and I didn't like the second movie as much as I did the first. I think on this they tried to dig a little deeper.
Kikizo: I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for your time Ernie.
