Ninja Gaiden: The Essential Interview
We visit Team Ninja to meet once again with one of our fave game creators, Tomonobu Itagaki, and members of his team Yoshifuru Okamoto and Yutaka Saito, to discuss Ninja Gaiden 2 AND Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for DS.

Itagaki: Yes. I mean, I won't give you the "no comment" line. I'll just say they're in pre-production, so obviously I continue to think about the future of those games. Right now I'm really focused on Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and of course Ninja Gaiden 2. Maybe when Dragon Sword is done, Mr. Saito here will start actual production work on Code Cronus.
Kikizo: Get to work!
[Saito starts miming swinging Nunchuks around]
Itagaki: [in Japanese] Ayane might look good using Nunchuks.
Kikizo: It's not... Code Nunchuk?
Itagaki: Code Nunchuk... You just said that, didn't you?
Kikizo: Sorry. I apologize.
Itagaki: No, no, that's okay.
Kikizo: Finally, will we be able to damage our touch-screens with Ryu before Christmas?
Itagaki: Yeah, I'd like to get the game out as soon as possible. Obviously this is a totally new experience for us and a complete unique game that we haven't done before, so it's always the dilemma of the developer knowing that he wants to get it out as soon as possible, but he also wants to give it the time it deserves. Looking at all these factors I'm certainly going to do my best to get it done as soon as possible.
Kikizo: Hopefully you can be our Ninja Santa Claus. Thank you very much.
Itagaki: Ninja Santa Claus? Kasumi might be better...
