Welcome to Kikizo!
Kikizo is an all-new entertainment site, aiming to offer something new and exciting. Inside we explain more about the site, who we are, and how to get involved.
Hello everyone, and welcome to our new site! Kikizo is the result of passion for digital entertainment, and enthusiasm for providing the best information possible to fans of videogames and movies.
Many of the staff at Kikizo come from existing videogames and movies publications, and we all have one common goal - to make Kikizo the only entertainment destination you need for news, reviews, first-looks and exclusive features.
I founded a videogames site five years ago, and over time it became very popular. I'm building a new team at Kikizo and we've all been running entertainment websites for a long time. We hope that our experience allows us to bring you a new web experience.
All about games
At Kikizo Games, we bring a lifetime of gaming and many combined years of editorial experience to deliver exclusive news, previews, reviews and features. On day one at the games section, you can enjoy a series of special interviews with Microsoft's Chief Xbox Officer - J Allard, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto, the co-founders of Rareware - Chris and Tim Stamper, and of course our chat with Sega Japan's most famous development staff, including Yu Suzuki, Yuji Naka, Tetsuya Mizuguchi and Toshihiro Nagoshi.
We've also got a fascinating interview with Kevin Bachus - one of the original visionaries behind the concept that eventually became Xbox, who has now launched a new company that could have a very positive impact on the videogames we'll be playing in as little as a year from now. Also at Games, there's the usual mix of detailed previews and reviews - many containing information that's not to be missed.
Everyone loves films
Over at Kikizo Movies, we've gone to town in bringing you looks at this summer's blockbuster films, including Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines, The Matrix: Reloaded, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and X2 - the sequel to the fantastic X-Men of 2000. We also give our opinions on some of the latest (and forthcoming) movies to hit your multiplex and DVD system. Soon we hope to bring you some fantastic features, including interviews with the stars, and obviously some exclusive previews and reviews. On both the Games and Movies sections, we also offer some pretty comprehensive release date information, for both the United States and the United Kingdom - and you can't say fairer than that.
Your Entertainment Forums
While the focus of Kikizo is detailed, and often, unique information on videogames and movies, we also take pride in operating what we hope is a friendly, busy set of user forums, which we aim to be your favourite destination for discussion of digital entertainment - and anything else you like really.
Get Involved with Kikizo
There are many ways for you all to get involved with Kikizo. In addition to the forums, we appreciate all feedback we receive on the site, and we love to read your opinions on our articles, and the stuff we're all here for in the first place - the latest games and films. We'll bin anything that's nonsense, but anything that's intelligent, interesting or just entertaining, stands a good chance of getting published on our letters pages.
In addition, we're always looking for fresh talent to help us run Kikizo, so if you're interested - whether it's regular work or the occasional contribution - if we feel it's right for the site, we'd love to hear from you.
Babes section? Fine by us.
You may have noticed, there's a slightly less serious side to Kikizo - and while we have a few girls working here, I'm sorry but the guys outvoted them for a Kikizo Babes section. For no reason other than, that we want one. Anyway - another way for anyone to get involved, is to partake in the massively fun 'send in your babe' opportunities at this section. If you have the best girlfriend in the world, or fancy a babe at school / work / next door, or even if you're hot for a celebrity, then share your obsession with us!
Anything else, web-boy?
If you wondered, we will launch further sections to Kikizo at some stage (no prizes for guessing what these might be), but we're keen not to bite off more than we can chew.
In conclusion, we hope you enjoy our first efforts as Kikizo launches. We aim to run the most entertaining, exclusive entertainment site around - so we hope you can stay with us as we work to achieve that goal. In the meantime, please let us know what you think, on the forums and by contacting us directly.
Thanks for dropping by, and we hope to see you again soon!
