Pikmin 2: First Screens Emerge
The sequel to Miyamoto's much-loved Pikmin has been revealed. Check out the first images inside.
With Shigeru Miyamoto currently touring Europe to promote the launch of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Nintendo thought it was a good time to start drip-feeding the games media with some glimpses at what's coming next on GameCube. At a recent London roundtable session with Miyamoto, the games genius demonstrated footage of Pikmin 2 and F-Zero GC.
This glimpse at what will obviously be among Nintendo's 'hot stuff' at E3, was shortly followed by the official release of screenshots for both games. We'll be bringing you a special F-Zero GC preview next week - but in the meantime, here are those lovely first screens from Pikmin 2. Not exactly overwhelming - but then, if you enjoyed the first game, it will be interesting to see what the new split-screen two player mode will bring to this sequel.
