FarCry Engine Revealed in Video
UbiSoft and Crytek released a video showcasing their new engine, which will be used in their upcoming FPS, FarCry. Is it better than Doom III?
Aptly dubbed, The CryEngine, Crytek's new engine will be used in Ubi Soft's First Person Shooter, Far Cry, which is slated for release around November 2003.
The CryEngine will showcase stunning graphics and ultra realistic physics, along with the implementation of ground breaking gameplay mechanisms. For instance, the ability to enage in detailed long-distance combat, realistically deformable terrain, and intense pitched firefights with multiple enemy squad members.
