E3 2003: Codemasters' Line-Up
The techies at Codemasters have revealed what's in store at their booth this year.
What's in store this year at Codemasters' booth?
In the wake of the pop craze, you too can take the reins with Pop Idol, just one of Codemasters projects to be shown off at E3.
Also in the hopper is information on what's in store for Operation Flashpoint and Colin McRae Rally, plus Dragon Empires' new visual world. All this and more as Codemasters is set to unleash the dogs of war gaming at this year's E3 Expo.
With a slew of blockbuster PC and console titles to show off, Codemasters has promised this to be their biggest E3 presence yet with more first showings and major announcements.
Throwing music prejudice aside, Pop Idol will be given its own themed stage on the booth. The reason? To challenge those attending to see just how well they can perform as a virtual Pop Idol singer, controlling the in-game voice of a contestant through the music-based rhythm-action gameplay. Sounds easy, right?
Simon Cowell, the Briton we all love to hate, will give you an in-game judging on your performance. There may even be some familiar Idols faces at Codemasters' E3 booth too.
Are you thinking Kelly Clarkson? Yeah, us too. The Kikizo Babes gurus will be there for extensive coverage, I'm sure.
That's just the tip of the iceberg, however. Codemasters will also unveil the next level for its more famous games, including Colin McRae Rally, Operation Flashpoint and LMA Manager. Also premiering exclusively at E3 is Battlefield Command, their new World War II tactical RTS for PC.
Playable previews of Dragon Empires, their latest MMORPG for PC also set to stun with its new landscape engine, the incredible 17 football action games that form the Club Football series (PS2, Xbox), and Operation Flashpoint on Xbox.
