UK Tomb Raider Confirmed for July 4
Gross incompetence or gratuitous public relations stunt? You be the judge.
While Tomb Raider's already delayed US release date came and went on June 20, Europe has been putting up with the one of the biggest shambles in the history of release date fun.
Until today, nobody at Eidos actually knew exactly when the game would be released in Europe, or in particular the UK. "It's coming in June, probably" they said last week.
Today, Eidos have confirmed that the game will be relesed on July 4, with the rest of Europe ennjoying some hot Lara action from July 7. So that's that settled, then.
Whilst it is well known that the reason for the delay was down to manufacturing, we also suspect that a big fuss has been made simply to drum up more mainstream coverage for the game. Well, er, this article wouldn't be here if the game wasn't delayed.
Stay tuned for the full review.
