Dead or Alive Online: New Screens
New screens from the game that, as we're often reminded, is the first ever online 3D fighting game. Plus latest DOA news round-up.
Tecmo's ferociously popular and visually astounding fighting series has received the latest screenshot treatment, once again for the forthcoming Dead or Alive Online. The screens appear to be captures from the recent video sequence (click here to see it) which in usual DOA style, is very nice to watch.
It's an exciting time for Itagaki-san and his Team Ninja studio, with a bright future for Dead or Alive on the horizon. In addition to Dead or Alive Online, the first ever online 3D fighting game, the team has lots to look forward to.
Dead or Alive: The Movie is in production and will be hitting theatres around the same time as Dead or Alive 4, the next true game in the series that promises to expand the formula further with more environment interactivity, larger playing scale and some secret stuff Itagaki says he has up his sleeve.
Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2 is expected to start development some time soon, while the man has also revealed that Dead or Alive: Code Cronus will not be a fighting game or a volleyball game - but something entirely new - perhaps an online RPG, if recent Japanese speculation is anything to go by.
Then there's the small matter of Ninja Gaiden (and a confirmed Ninja Gaiden 2 for that matter) - all of which ensure no holiday time for employees at Team Ninja. With Itagaki's refreshing outlook on the originality in his games, and aggressive commitment to originality, it can only be good for gamers and fans of Tecmo titles. Stay tuned for more.
