Japanese Publishers Prepare for TGS
According to Famitsu, Japanese publishers are lining up some killer titles for this year's TGS, including Virtua Fighter Quest from Sega.
Late last week, Famitsu.com - the online version of Japan's highly respected Famitsu Weekly - posted an article listing several publishers line-ups for this year's Tokyo Game Show, which takes place from 26th - 28th September in Makuhari, Tokyo.
Originally, the article featured a number of titles which have since been removed and replaced with 'unknown title' and the associated format(s). Most notably, the eagerly anticipated unveiling of Virtua Fighter Quest was on Sega's TGS schedule.
However, the details now appear to have been changed, and when asked, a Sega spokesperson told us, "We're not expecting Virtua Fighter Quest at TGS. It's not ready yet. It exists - but it doesn't." That's really helpful - but we think we know what he means.
We will endeavour to find out more before the show starts. Stay tuned - and for now, here's some of those 'supposedly confirmed' titles listed from Sega, Konami, Namco and Tecmo.
