Colin McRae, probably the best rally simulation series in existence, will see its fourth instalment this winter - and having sampled the latest version of Colin McRae Rally 04, we're pleased to report the game is in fantastic shape.
Taking the Xbox version for a spin, we've had our editors working overtime to bring you these seven videos of Colin 04 in action on various courses. The videos, which are offered in 640x480 resolution, should leave you in no doubt about the attention to detail in Colin 4 - which is nothing short of astounding.
There are over 20 rally cars to be driven, including 4-wheel drive cars Citroen Xsara, Mitsubishi Evo 7 and Subaru Impreza. 2-wheel drive cars such as the Ford Puma and Fiat Punto are included alongside classic cars.
What's more, fans will welcome a return to the workshop with full set up and repair options at service areas every second stage through a rally. Set up options include tyres, ride height, springs, anti-roll bar, brakes and steering.
Colin McRae Rally 04 hits UK shelves on PS2, Xbox and PC on September 19, with a North Amercian release scheduled for November. Stay tuned for our full verdict soon.
