Jak II Latest: Stunning Hi-Res Screens
Incredible hi-res screenshot evidence points to Jak II being a videogames masterpiece. 34 captures of justice inside.
Jak II, Naughty Dog's incredible action adventure title, is finished and looking spectacular. These new hi-res screens, shown here for the first time, leave no doubt as to the visual quality of the game.
But it's not just about graphics, a subject close to the heart of Naughty Dog's boss, Jason Rubin. Speaking in London last week, the games design guru echoed his comments from our recent interview, stating that a million extra polys does little or nothing to move the games industry forward.
Jak II's incredible character-driven action takes place in a massively detailed world, with one of the most spectacular scenes placing you in a forest with Predator-style transparant beasts running around to hunt you down. Although Rubin says Jak II is unique, he admits that it will be in direct competition to Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank 2, but if you ask us Jak II is comfortably our game of choice right now.
