Video Feature: The Making of Jak II

Our Jak II video feature takes an in-depth look at the making of the game with the Naughty Dog team, showing stunning new footage.

Following the spectacle that was our video interview with Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin, today we bring you more love for Jak II: Renegade. There's a very simple reason - the game is fantastic, a true 'next-gen' character action platformer that's as lovingly crafted as it will be received.

Our video feature includes brand new, previously unseen game footage, and gets the insider's view on what to expect in the game from co-founders Jason Rubin and Andy Gavin, Lead Designer Daniel Arey, Animator Josh Scherr and Designer Evan Wells.

You'll see some stunning new sequences, and some cut-scenes that demonstrate the full power of Jak II's graphics engine - not to mention the fantastic voice acting.

The team discusses the specifics of Jak II in-depth, and explains why this is more than just another platform game. As well as introducing you to the wide range of diverse characters in the game, the team exlain the AI and structure of the game, and why it's such a big leap forward.

Also a prime focal point is the Jak character himself. As Rubin explains, "Jak is a prime motivator of what's going on, as opposed to a reactionary." There's more to this character than you might think.

Rubin finishes, "Jak and Daxter II has been such an inspirational project for me to work on that I honestly don't know what to do next."
