Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow Video
X03: The videos keep coming: take a look at the first ever footage of Ubi's new Splinter Cell title.
At X03, Yves Guillemot took the stage to unveil Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for the first time. Not much was given away, but we've grabbed a direct feed version of the video for your perusal.
"Last year I told you that Splinter Cell would be the best game for Christmas. And it was number one in the US and Europe." he said to the conference attendees.
He explained that Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow aims to redefine online gameplay in the same way the first Splinter Cell redefined the tacital genre. "Pandora Tomorrow is the first true multiplayer stealth experience. The game footage you will see is only multiplayer online footage."
He continued, "I'm sure you will have lots of questions, but you will have to wait another month for the answers."
The sequel is being developed as a multiplatform title and is slated for release in the first quarter of 2004. With new action scenes and a strong cinematic feel, the player will "experience new and even more realistic surroundings", according to Ubi.
Ubi says that Pandora Tomorrow will the be the first stealth game ever to feature multiplayer online missions allowing several players to simultaneously share Sam Fisher's shadowy world of espionage. It is unclear whether or not they've taken SOCOM into consideration.
Take a look at the screens and video, and stay tuned for more on this latest Tom Clancy videogame effort.
