Ninja Gaiden: New Gameplay Footage
X03: Thanks to the ninjas at G4, we bring you over four minutes of direct feed Ninja Gaiden gameplay footage. Look now.
Take one stealth games industry veteran working at television channel G4. Add killer relationship with Tecmo Japan. Result? Why, the first ever direct feed gameplay footage of Ninja Gaiden broadcast all over the US, of course!
While Itagaki-san refuses to let the game out of his grasp, even though speculation was high that a version would be playable at X03, it appears somebody has done the job and scored the footage, so here it is. It shows lots of new stuff but has only ever existed in shaky-cam renditions from E3 before now. The quality is not outstanding, but it'll do for now.
We wish the charismatic Itagaki-san would stop worrying about the quality of the game and let people play it. Everyone is going to love it. It would also be nice if he'd let people film him during interviews at X03 last week. But alas - "I have a daughter now and have to protect my face, I don't want to be all over the Internet", he explained to a group of bemused European journalists.
We're hoping that Ninja Gaiden will be at TGS next week in some form other than video. If this is the case, then expect full coverage from the showfloor at Kikizo.
