Tekken's Nina Williams Gets Own Game
First details of Namco's new stealth combat action game, starring Nina Williams from the Tekken series, plus 32 screens.
Namco recently revealed the first details and images of their forthcoming action adventure game starring Nina Williams from the Tekken series - which is tentatively called Nina, unsurprisingly.
Nina enters an underground fighting tournament on a big ship, aiming to investigate organised crime carried out by a group called Camietta. She has a partner by the name of Alan Sumishi, an MI6 agent.
Nina has a range of combat techniques, along with the ability to navigate through levels stealth-style and search and explore for special items. She'll be able to fight in a similar way to her abilities in Tekken, but will also have access to weapons including a sword and several firearms. In addition, Nina can use several weapons simultaneously, using the right analog control.
Judging by the images released, the game will have a fairly sophisticated battle system, in which attacks can cause internal damage that can be viewed with an x-ray style view. This will be a fundamental part of the battle system, according to reports.
Nina is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2 some time next year, and may make an appearance at this week's Tokyo Game Show, starting Friday. If it's there, expect impressions right here.
