The Getaway 2 Revealed - First Artwork
Sony's London Studio has been hard at work on The Getaway 2 - and it will debut on the next front cover of Official PlayStation 2 Magazine in the UK. Artwork inside!
The Getaway, one of Sony's biggest in-house titles last year, is about to get a sequel - and whether you expected it yet or not, it will debut exclusively in the next issue of Official PlayStation 2 Magazine (UK edition).
Tentatively titled The Getaway 2, the sequel returns to London (not other cities as has been reported elsewhere) to engage in another round of shooting 'sheisters and scumbags', as the magazine cover delicately puts it.
To celebrate a magazine redesign, publisher Future issued the cover image today, but it is unclear whether this has messed up the street date when The Getaway 2 was supposed to be unveiled.
All manner of improvements are expected to be in The Getaway 2, with most key development staff at SCEE's London Studio returning for the project. The game has been in development ever since the first title was completed, so it will be interesting to see what's been achieved so far given the original took eighty years to develop.
The magazine is released on December 28 and will be packed full of the first details and screens from the game. We will of course keep you posted on absolutely everything Getaway related as it breaks.
