Driv3r: Yet More Amazing Screens
The cheesy mid-word-number becomes more and more acceptable with each batch of screens released by Atari. This week - 24 new images, mainly from the Xbox version.
Scheduled for global release on March 26, Atari's Driv3r looks set to put much of the competition in its crowded genre to shame. These latest screens - by far the best of the collection so far - indicate success on the horizon for the PS2 and Xbox game.
Developed by Destruction Derby 2 and Stuntman creator Reflections, Driv3r was recently described by the team's founder as "the most realistic simulation possible of Hollywood and TV car chases".
Martin Edmonson elaborated, "I would say the realism with which the cars move and look in the environment, which in itself is also pretty realistic. I don't think the game would work half as well if we had gone for arcade style handling or a cartoon style interpretation of the cities. This has not come cheaply however, the physics system which allows us to produce the realistic dynamics and physics has been in development for over 4 years."
Stay tuned for more as Driv3r nears release.
