Win a Game a Month in the Forums
We're giving away a free game every month to users of the Kikizo Forums - just for taking part! Details inside.
A clever advert to entice you into the Kikizo forums - the digital playground of POWER! |
We all love to discuss videogames and the cuddly industry that powers it - whether it's over a few beers, in your favourite forum, or a daily mailing list (or of course all three together). So the new plan is this: do it at Kikizo's Forums from now on, and stand a chance of getting games for absolutely no extra effort whatsoever - just by doing what you'd normally do anyway! Sounds like a no-brainer to us.
At the end of each month we'll be choosing the "forum user of the month", based on a number of factors. Point earners include interesting and entertaining posts, posting red hot news, intelligent discussion, your own cool ideas or artwork, courtesy towards other users and general community spirit. The number of posts will also be considered, but blatant flooding or hundreds of unanswered topic starters will be ignored - you have to reply and discuss within existing topics more than you start new ones, for things to work properly. Basically you just have to be a good forum user - you know how it works (and how it doesn't work!)
The process of deciding the winner each month is not scientific - there is no point in forcing all of the above and sucking up - we want to see personality and humour, and the user we feel has contributed most towards the forums during that month wins. You just use the forums in the same way you would elsewhere - except now, you might get a nice surprise at the end of the month.
The prize can be any game of your choice on general release at the time you win, up to the value of USD$50 or GBP£50 - basically full price, but not higher (anyone asking for Steel Battalion will be told where to go). We will only send prizes out to winners in North America, Canada, the UK and rest of Europe - cash equivalents will be considered (but not guaranteed) for winners located in other countries, including Japan. In the event that we cannot send a game to a winner due to their location, we will select another winner for the month and the game will go to them instead. All winners will be announced on the forums. Where possible, we will work with the game's publisher to have the game sent out, and the publisher will be the forum sponsor for the month.
We also have some really cool goodies for runners-up. At the moment, we have ten highly exclusive copies of Virtua Fighter: 10th Anniversary for PlayStation 2 - boxed standalone games, kindly sent to us by Sega. These are up for grabs!
Winners can also opt to receive any full price Region 1 or Region 2 DVD of their choice if they wish.
Discussion in all sections of the forum will be taken into account. The staff of Kikizo will be taking part although obviously we're not eligible for any prizes. And our decision is final chaps!
Happy posting! And remember, you can't just post any old crap.
