Sports Interactive Reveals Next Goal
Championship Manager developers Sports Interactive to reveal the next game using their CM technology, but without the Eidos-owned brand, at a Sega event next week.
Many were left confused after Sega Europe announced its latest publishing acquisition, Eastside Hockey Manager: Franchise Edition. Just what was that all about, some wondered. News emerging this week confirms what insiders have known for months: that Sega is working a lot more closely with developer Sports Interactive than on a hockey management game.
Vitally, this means Sports Interactive will imminently reveal the next in its multi-million selling Championship Manager series. The only catch is they can't call it Championship Manager, a brand still owned by Eidos, which announced last week it had appointed Beautiful Game Studios to create CM5.
But Sports Interactive still own all their own development tools, databases and - at the end of the day - they made it in the first place. So, after a Sega Europe event to be held next week on February 12, expect to find out more about the collaboration, and get your first glimpse at what many fans will see as the next true instalment in the CM series.
Stay tuned for more on both titles from Eidos and Sega.
