SCEE Announces Aqua PlayStation 2
To steal some thunder from the Crystal Xbox no doubt. First image inside.
Sony today announced it will release limited numbers of its new aqua coloured PS2 in the UK and PAL territories at a price of 139.99.
The aqua PS2 follows the announcement of Microsoft's crystal Limited Edition Xbox, in the latest console style wars manoeuvre.
Additional Aqua accessories will also be available in March including an Aqua Vertical Stand and an 8MB Memory Card.
Sony's press team insists, "The new Aqua PlayStation 2 will make a sophisticated addition to state of the art home entertainment systems and will complement any modern design-led living room environment."
And president David Reeves said, "This new Aqua PlayStation 2 seemed just right for Europe in the Spring time."
We believe it is all true. The silver one is obviously better though.
