Sudeki: Exclusive Screenshot Frenzy
Eighteen gorgeous hi-res screens from Climax's forthcoming Xbox RPG. One to watch!
Microsoft has been kind enough to hand us a set of exclusive screenshots from the firstparty-published, Climax UK-developed roleplaying game, Sudeki. The game was originally announced by Ed Fries back at X02, and impressed at last year's E3 with a solid playable demo.
Sudeki features cinematic combat with dozens of moves, slow-motion bullet time, earthshaking spells and hundreds of destructive melees and ranged weapons. Players will battle against more than 80 enemies, ranging from Accursed Undead to massive battle fortresses.
You battle as a team of four fierce heroes: a beautiful and deadly sorceress, a steam-punk gunslinger, a powerful man-at-arms and a dark huntress. You can even conduct massive, cooperative spirit strikes in which characters combine to devastate legions of foes.
Perhaps more notably, you'll notice some very impressive graphics, powered by a new engine built from the ground up. It boasts detailed facial animation, bump-mapping, complex lighting and large scale environments.
Overall, Sudeki looks a success-story in the making. Many questions remain unanswered - will the story line deliver? Can the hack-n-slash combat stay fresh? - but we think Xbox may finally get the RPG arsenal it so sorely needs.
We expect to get our hands on an up-to-date build of the game prior to the game's release in April, so stay tuned for hot videos. .
