Resident Evil 4: Screens of Power!
First official in-game screens from Resident Evil 4, which if you believe the hype, will eclipse the entire genre the series sparked in the first place. Capcom on a roll.
Following an impressively blatant "information leak" last month, along with lots of astonishingly impressive screenshots (kick yourself and then click here if you missed it all, or you're all doomed) Capcom Japan has jumped into action and released the first pair of official screens from the fourth in the Resident Evil series.
It might be another, even more resounding year of "sequilitis", and no doubt it will be the subject of many rambling moans after E3 this May. But Capcom in particular has proven that the industry-sweeping play-safe syndrome doesn't have to ruin your franchises, nor does it mean you can't invent new ones. Capcom has just sent off its popular Onimusha series in Japan with style, as the third and final title (see here for our hands-on and vids) impresses in the far east - closing a series that was only born earlier this generation.
And now, Capcom's R&D4 studio is about to get the official ball rolling for Resident Evil 4, which judging from last month's fresh details, leaked screens and whisperings from NDA-tied journalists, will surpass all expectations when it's finally, officially and fully unveiled at this year's E3.
If you missed all the details and screens, hit the link above, but for now let's play by the rules and admire these two lovely official screens. It will get much, much more exciting, we guarantee it...
