New Killzone Screens, Same Old Code
Ten screens taken from recently published footage - albeit from six month old code - gossip inside! Stay tuned for much more.
New, but unofficial Killzone screens have been doing the rounds, after amazing skill was used to capture a series of stills from recent Killzone footage featured on a marvellous UK games magazine.
Although the original cover mounted footage was astonishingly taken from six-month-old code, featuring bugs and slowdown, it still looked remarkably impressive, and left no doubt as to which firstparty PS2 title will be Sony's killer app for 2004. But Sony promises the latest version is tonnes better, and we hope to be seeing more of it before E3, where it will be absolutely massive.
Sony and the game's developer, Guerrilla, yesterday announced an exclusive relationship (yet-to-be-released Eidos title, ShellShock: Nam '67 notwithstanding) which will see the Amsterdam-based team working on PS3 and PSP in the not-too-distant future.
Be assured, we'll have much, much more on Killzone and the hot development team behind it, as we slowly approach the release of the game at the end of the year. In the meantime, click the 'related articles' link above for more.
