The Getaway 2 - New Pics from London!
New screens have emerged - apparently scanned - from Sony London's The Getaway 2. We "investigate". See them now.
Fresh screens from The Getaway 2 have emerged today, scanned from the new issue of EGM, which was granted these latest screens despite the game being developed in London with strict media non-access to the game and a relative cards-to-chest policy from Sony on the distribution of screenshots.
Sony's London Studio (not "Team Soho" anymore, despite many sites still irritatingly referring to it as such) is hard at work on the sequel, which is set two years after the original and follows the sordid adventures of a brand new cast, led by fighter and bouncer, Eddie O'Connor.
The inclusion of London's Underground system in the game has been a hot rumour for around a year now, but can't be confirmed 100% just yet. Exactly what its function might be has yet to be revealed - but perhaps it might serve as a game map, making it easy to get from location to location, with the occasional storyline intervention when there's a delay from somebody being pushed in front of a train at Mile End station.
We're betting on this sequel being a massive improvement over the original, which itself was no ugly duckling. As always, stay tuned for all the latest.
