Red Dead Revolver Delayed, New Screens
Rockstar's epic western game has been delayed - but here are new screens and character info to tide you over the extra month.
Today comes the official news that Rockstar's anticipated Red Dead Revolver wild west-themed thirdperson action shooting title, has been delayed from its previous date of late April to May 28.
The news isn't particularly surprising as Rockstar has been keen to get every last detail just right with the game - so we hope the extra time pays off.
Meanwhile, the full character line-up has been revealed, along with new screens to accompany the gang. To guess at how all the characters fit into the framework of the game, check back to our massive hands-on with the game a couple of weeks ago.
- RED - As a youngster, Red's family was slaughtered by bandits and left for dead. Red now prowls the open frontier as a bounty hunter, bringing justice to wicked bandits, desperate to unravel the identity of his family's killers.
- ANNIE STOAKES - Annie Stoakes is a cattle rancher working a small plot of land just outside of Brimstone. In the rugged western frontier, staking your claim means being prepared for more than just hard work. Annie's a crack shot with a rifle. She keeps an eye out for trouble and for those who would try to run her off her land.
- SHADOW WOLF - Shadow Wolf is an Indian scout from the same tribe as Falling Star, Red's mother. Shadow Wolf, like Red, must face his own challenges in the Wild West and either find his place amongst his tribe, or outside it.
- GENERAL DIEGO - A triumphant leader during the border wars with the U.S. Diego was long ago relieved of his duties with the Mexican government; he is now the leader of a renegade/mercenary army. It is rumored that Diego's army numbers in the thousands. His men are well equipped and he even has an armored train at his disposal. The U.S. Army is seeking his capture and the "disbanding" of his army.
- JACK SWIFT - Jack Swift is an English gentleman and gunfighter who heads out West to join Professor Perry's circus as a sharpshooter.
- BUFFALO SOLIDER - The Buffalo Soldier is a member of the US Cavalry stationed in the western frontier. He possesses all of the best qualities of a soldier. Loyal, brave, steadfast in their mission, and a crack shot.
In other Rockstar news, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas looks set to miss E3 this year, with parent company Take 2 recently stating that the game will be fully unveiled in June. We're betting some kind of teaser is still in evidence at Rockstar's booth next month though.
Stay tuned for a lot more on the ultra-stylish Red Dead Revolver as we approach the May 28 release date.
