Halo 2: Another New Screen, Artwork
Running out of things to say each time now. Another "nice looking" Halo 2 shot!
The relaunch of Bungie.net promises a more concentrated flow of Halo 2 screenshots, according to those behind the site... and here's the first such shot. The chaps behind the world's most anticipated sequel have also unveiled new artwork of the ODSTs that will fight along side Master Chief in Halo 2.
The site explains, "The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (also known as "Helljumpers") are more or less the UNSC equivalent of an Airborne Ranger. This all-volunteer outfit has a rep for being a tad bit crazy, but have to be in order to strap yourself into a HEV (Human Entry Vehicle) and be shot out of a ship, through the atmosphere, to a hostile environment below. Suffice it to say these guys are tough and can kick plenty of Covenant butt."
Bungie content manager Frank O'Connor says, "The combination of our new lightmapping and dynamic lighting gives stills an unearthly, painted-looking quality, yet still weirdly photorealistic. I love that aspect of the game's look - reminds me of how video games used to carry their own distinctive 'look' like Capcom SNES titles or the PC version of Doom."
More as Bungie feels like it.
