Half-Life 2 Still 2004, Box Art Shown
Valve's hotly anticipated mega game is still set for 2004, despite reports which took a Gabe Newell quote out of context.
The internet has been paralysed with fear that Valve's forthcoming Half-Life 2 might be delayed until 2005, but fortunately, that's not the case at all. It started when Valve MD Gabe Newell did an interview with Polygon magazine, but his comment regarding "2005" was purely hypothetical.
Newell enthused: "We've already spent millions into this project, and we're willing to spend as much as we need to make this the best first person experience ever. If that means delaying the game to 2005, we'll do it without any hesitation. If it means sinking another $20 million into the project, we can do it. Rest assured, if we delay the game, it'll be only to blow your socks off even more when it finally releases."
The game is still on track for a 2004 release. Meanwhile, the supposedly final box art has been revealed, looking quite nice as you can see.
