E3 2004: Sega's Big News Revealed?
Sega is publishing The Matrix Online - is this really Sega's "Explosive" News?
Large banners in the Los Angeles Convention Center give away one of Sega's big new titles to be announced on Wednesday - The Matrix Online for PC now boasts the Sega logo.
What we can't figure out is whether or not this really is the mystery "Explosive Announcement" Sega is saving for a special event on Wednesday morning at its E3 showcase room.
The E3 showcase room, in the concourse hall of the Convention Center, replaces Sega's traditional large stand, which until now it contractually held onto since it was a firsparty publisher. OutRun2, Sega SuperStars and Astro Boy are some of the heavy hitters in the room, and we couldn't see any evidence of other playable titles that might be related to Wednesday's announcement.
So is this it? It's hardly "explosive" - but who knows. Stay tuned for Wednesday's official announcement.
