Phantasy Fix: PSU & Blue Burst Vids!

Two new Phantasy Star Online titles from Sonic Team, direct feed video goodness.

As many of you will know, there's more than just Sega SuperStars going down at the Sonic Team studio right now. We still have the imminent return of the Shining RPG series to look forward to, most obviously with Shining Force for PlayStation 2, but there's also the prospect of two new Phantasy Star titles as well.

Phantasy Star Universe

Phantasy Star Universe is the next big title in the seires, supposedly coming to all current consoles sometime next year. Not a great deal is known about the project, although this teaser trailer reveals a brand new game world. The game's official website reads, "The rebirth of a whole new Phantasy Star legend. Let the next generation of games begin." The title doesn't have a Japanese date yet, let alone a western announcement, but you can bet that more information will turn up at some stage pretty soon.

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst is the PC version of the console RPG, which recently hit the 100,000 mark with BETA testers signed up in Japan. The game hits Japanese shelves on July 15, although we're still awaiting any news of a western release. The game offers new character, such as Momoka, who appear in the lobby area, along with new quests and a cool new 'Team System' that lets you meet with team members. Game data is stored server side and this really is an online-only experience.

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst

Meanwhile on the Phantasy Star front, Phantasy Star Trilogy is still scheduled for a PS2 release in North America on October 14 - but this trilogy bundles the original games of course, not the Phantasy Star Online trilogy.
