Spider-Man 2: Gameplay Video Swings In
Just a quick gameplay video to celebrate the release, and our imminent movie review!
Take a look at this gameplay footage from Activision's forthcoming Spider-Man 2: The Game, which is out now in the US and hits UK shelves on July 9. The hotly anticipated movie sequel isn't released until July 19 in Europe but the chaps at Kikizo Movies will be at the first UK screening later this week to deliver up the final review.
In the meantime, this gameplay footage is a small taster of what's to come from the acclaimed videogame release. You'll see various levels, enemies, gameplay techniques and Spidey's trademark swinging New York action. Not that kind of swinging.
See the amazing Spider-Man sling, dive, jump and scale the heights of Manhattan to protect the innocent. And all that!
The game offers a go anywhere/do anything virtual New York City, populated by cars, pedestrians and criminals. Players scale the heights of the tallest skyscrapers and jump from rooftops to street level as they patrol the city in search of people in need of help. Spidey can spin webs and swing from actual locations like building corners, lampposts, flagpoles, trains - even helicopters. Gamers can harness super strength for powerful jumps and "lightning-fast" wall crawling, according to the makers.
And in addition to Doc Ock, as featured in the upcoming film sequel, gamers must battle a plethora of characters in Spider-Man's legendary Rogue's Gallery of villains who make exclusive game appearances, including Mysterio and Black Cat.
Stay tuned for our full review of the game, and the review of the film over at Kikizo Movies.
