VF4 Final Tuned: Fresh Screens & Art!
New screens and relatively large background artwork reveal new visial changes in the final VF4 title.
Virtua Fighter 4 Final Tuned, the final update in the VF4 series until VF5 is unveiled some time next year, today received its latest boost boost of screenshot goodness as we approach the game's mid-July Japanese arcade release.
It's about a month since we uncovered the first decent screens for the game (see here) but this time Sega's AM2 division has provided some nice background artwork as well, revealing some cool new visual changes to the environments combatants will be scrapping inside.
A whole host of new techniques - including air throws - are said to have made it into the game, which has received great feedback from the hardcore fans of Virtua Fighter in Japan following various location tests.
Talking to Kikizo last year, Yu Suzuki confirmed that the fifth title has been in progress for some time. However, we don't anticipate an announcement on VF5 until next year at the earliest. In the meantime, VF4FT is set to be the ultimate arcade fighting experience, tweaking even further the near-perfectly balanced play of VF4 Evolution.
There's no news of a home conversion yet, but it's not so unlikely to turn up on PS2 next year, at least in Japan.
