Doom 3: Evil New Gameplay Footage!

With only ten days to go until the release of Doom 3, we bring you this awesome video of Doom 3 gameplay.

After what seems like an eternity, Doom 3 excitement is now finally about to reach fever pitch. The tech-heads are talking about benchmarks and frames per second, all rushing to get the perfect PC set up in time for the game's August 3 US release date, when point-of-sale is going to be all over your local game stores like a popstar on kids.

As regular readers will know, Kikizo has been pretty good to you when it comes to video of the game, most famously when we brought you the entire direct-feed of id's awesome E3 2002 trailer - you remember, the sixteen-minute gameplay and cut-scene fest that originally unveiled the game over two years ago (and still the most impressive footage 'not' available in our opinion).

He'll be fireballing your feeble ass in less than a fortnight.

Unfortunately the lovely chaps at id didn't want our glorious, pristine direct-feed of that demonstration on the web, and after a series of exciting emails - and threats to unleash demons from the game on us - left the article bare and only this rubbish montage from our original preview... but not for long, as mercifully the id/Activision guys went on to release a great E3 2003 trailer and the Xbox-specific trailer from E3 2004 a couple of months ago.

Ah well. None of that matters now as we present an all-new gameplay montage, of all-new gameplay scenes, from various parts of the game. You'll see new baddies, new weapons, new levels, new cut-scenes, new characters, new Mars, new everything.

It's a direct-feed, hi-res Doom 3 video showdown before the game hits shelves in little over a week - and although the music is ever-so-slightly annoying, generally this is a top-notch download that's a must-see for all those following the game.

Stay tuned for tonnes more on Doom 3 as we approach the game's release. I must admit, I am quite excited at this time.
