New Conker Screens, Killer Instinct GBA?
Awesome new hi-res screens show one the best looking games on Xbox, while Rare teases about still owning one of its most famous franchises, Killer Instinct...
Since our hands-on playtest and media of the surprisingly awesome Conker: Live and Reloaded, it's all been a little quiet on the Conker front.
But today the silence was broken as Microsoft released a handful of beautiful new hi-res screens from the upcoming Rare masterwork, in all their, er, big glory.
We think you'll agree they're some of the best looking screens on any Xbox game to date.
But what's really intriguing is that in one of the screenshots, Conker is seen playing a Game Boy Advance SP - and what looks like a version of Rare's classic pseudo-3D fighting game, Killer Instinct!
Now the more astute readers will point out that despite being now famously owned by Microsoft, UK-based Rare, Ltd has still been allowed to make a game or two fo Nintendo's handheld (we've never quite been able to determine the logic behind this) - and we know that Rare still owns the Killer Instinct IP.
Could it be that a new version of the graphically lush fighter is on its way soon? Not to Xbox - but on GBA?! Or are Rare just teasing? Thanks to military-grade security at the developer's HQ, we haven't a clue, but we hope to know more soon. Stay tuned...
Oh yeah, and enjoy these new screens.
