Burnout 3 Release News & Final Screens
A final set of screens before the review.
Now that it's shacked up with EA, Guildford-based Criterion Games can be expected to produce some real heavy hitters on next generation consoles - which is a good thing, as everyone agrees that Burnout 3, now totally finished, is utterly awesome.
We reported that the game was finished less than a month ago to co-incide with a new series of screenshots and videos, although Alex Ward, Director of Design at Criterion, promptly contacted us to point out, "The game is not complete yet - we have a few weeks yet!" But Alex mentioned that it was just testing that remained - and our news was based on the fact that reviewable copies of the game were already in circulation.
Anyway, although we can't determine whether or not Burnout 3 has actually gone gold at this stage, the fact it that it's as finished as you need to worry about, and hitting US stores on 7th September and the UK on 10th September. Your Xboxes and PS2s will never have been so thrilled.
