FlatOut Racing Brings Out the Babes
The forthcoming racing hopeful from Empire Interactive follows up on the news that VU Games will publish it Stateside with a stock car racing event full of... babes!
Last Sunday, Empire Interactive held a swanky stock car racing event for UK journalists to celebrate the imminent launch of FlatOut, a game that tempted even Edge magazine into writing, "Burnout should be worried!"
Naturally we have now received our review copies for the three formats expecting Flatout mayhem on November 5th - PS2, Xbox and PC - and will be bringing you our verdict some time around the release day.
In the meantime we though you might want to take a look at one of the finer fical points of Sunday's event - the Flatout babes, or the "Flatout Fillies" as Empire decided to name them.
UK journalists proved they could smash up their stock cars better (or should that be worse) than anyone else on the track, offering some scenes of utter destruction at the Wimbledon-based circuit.
Developed by Bugbear Entertainment, FlatOut lets you throw yourself around 45 challenging tracks in one of 16 fully upgradeable cars - and every time you lose control, you will truly feel the weight of the car as it collides with and destroys a barn, or smashes into the pack of cars ahead of you. And with 40 deformable pieces on every car, sparks are guaranteed to fly.
An extensive championship mode is included, but as always, it's the online and multiplayer gaming options that could put Flatout at the top of many racers' wishlists in November.
FlatOut will also be distributed in the US by VU Games in first quarter 2005. Stay tuned for our verdict. Thanks go out to Empire for the photos.
