Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Pinched
The latest major videogame leak upsets.
Proving the old adage that bad news comes in threes, it was revealed today that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been cracked and put on to the Internet. This comes soon after two of the year's other big releases, Halo 2 and Doom 3, suffered similar fates.
A scan of one popular download site this afternoon showed over 8,000 people currently downloading the 3 GB file. Despite this, though, Rockstar is sticking to its announced release plans. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will hit North America on Tuesday, 26 October, before debuting in the UK next Friday, 29 October.
Rockstar has asked for the public's help in tracking down those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact piracy@rockstargames.com.
