Four From Sega for PSP
Website offers info on new titles.
In the absence of any precise launch information from Sony regarding the release of its new portable gaming system, the PSP, publishers are getting the lion's share of attention, with each new game announcement raising anticipation.
Latest to add to the crescendo is industry stalwart Sega, which updated its Japanese site with information for four new titles.
In addition to puzzler Puyo Puyo Fever and Project S, Sega is working on four unnamed titles. The site gives only a brief description of each of the new games as follows:
- New communication game
- Multiplayer sports game
- Graphic adventure game
- Digital pet game
While the identity of the four games is unknown, Sega is well known for several popular series that fit the bill. The most obvious are Seaman, the bizarre digital pet game that was released on the Dreamcast, and Sakura Taisen, the company's long-running graphic adventure series.
Sony's PSP is scheduled for launch in Japan by the end of 2004 and in North America and Europe in the first half of 2005.
