Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil Announced
Id Returns to Hell with Doom 3 follow up.
Activision and id Software have announced that they will be pairing up again for an expansion pack to this summer's PC blockbuster Doom 3. Already well into production at co-developer Nerve Software, Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil picks up the plasma rifle where its predecessor dropped it to directly continue from the storyline of Doom 3.
"Doom 3 defines first-person cinematic action, and the expansion pack continues right where we left off - with a terrifying atmosphere, a new story and one of the most classic weapons ever, the double-barrelled shotgun," said id ceo Todd Hollenshead.
"Now that fans have survived the horrors and edge-of-your-seat action of the original, Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil delivers players deeper into the heart of the UAC to uncover new secrets and technology used to destroy the demon force that's hell-bent on destroying you."
In addition to a continuation of the storyline, Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil will also offer expanded multiplayer options, including 8-player support on brand-new multiplayer maps.
Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil will require a full copy of Doom 3.
