Two Million Nintendo DSs This Year
Lots of units available by end of year.
With Wednesday's announcement of the release date and price for Sony's PSP, the stage is now set for the handheld to tackle the Nintendo DS head on.
Nintendo has announced that it will have two million units of the dual-screen handheld available by the end of the year.
This figure is broken down into one million available each to North America and Japan. Sony has announced that it hopes to sell 500,000 units of its PSP by the end of the year and one million by March 2005.
As yet, neither Sony nor Nintendo have divulged any details regarding the launch of either the Nintendo DS or the PSP in Europe, though both are expected to launch during this coming winter.
