Warcraft Pre-Order Campaign Announced
Blizzard caters to high demand from fans.
To cater to overwhelming demand for its upcoming fantasy-themed MMORPG World Of Warcraft, Blizzard has announced a pre-order campaign to allow its more eager fans to ensure that they get as much out of the game as possible.
With over 330,000 Europeans already taking advantage of the closed beta test currently running, the company has realized that it may have underestimated demand for Worlds Of Warcraft.
To quell fears of being left empty handed come launch day, a pre-order campaign is being put in place.
In addition to the peace of mind of knowing the final game will be there on release day, gamers will also receive a pre-order package containing a sample CD with music from the game and an authentication key guaranteeing access to the final closed beta test.
"The number of European Closed Beta Test sign-ups we received earlier this year indicated a possibility for greater demand at release in Europe than we had initially anticipated," said Blizzard president, Mike Morhaime.
"With this pre-order campaign, we're able to ensure that players in Europe have a guaranteed means of receiving a boxed copy of World Of Warcraft at launch."
World Of Warcraft is set for release in North America later this month with a European release to follow.
