Prove Your Footie Mettle
Get to Earls Court for the FIFA tourney.
Fancy yourself as a FIFA master? If so, EA has the competition for you. The company is currently running a virtual World Cup using its recent Xbox football title FIFA 2005, and the global tour is stopping in the UK soon.
The FIFA Interactive World Cup, which has already made stops in Johannesburg, New York and Rio De Janeiro, will swing by the UK to pick the most skilled contestant who will go on to the finals later this year.
On Saturday, 20 November, gamers who make the trek to Earl's Court in London will be able to take part in the tournament.
A morning qualifying session, between 9.00am and 11.00am, will see 512 qualifiers go through to the afternoon semi-final session, where they will go up against 512 pre-qualifiers picked from online rankings.
These two groups will battle it out, with the eventual winner nabbing a trip to the world finals, to be held in Zurich, Switzerland, on 20 December.
England striker Darius Vassell and DJs Darren Emerson, Tim Westwood, Krafty Kuts and Mutiny will all be at Earl's Court to entertain the crowds.
