Kingdom Hearts GBA Set for West
Chain of Memories hitting US and UK.
The original Kingdom Hearts for PlayStation 2 took the melding of Disney's and Square Enix's worlds and turned it into a global success, selling over four million copies in the process.
Square Enix has announced that the Game Boy Advance successor to the game, titled Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories, will be shipping before the year is out in North America, with a UK release to follow early in the New Year.
"We are excited about bringing Kingdom Hearts to a broader audience by releasing this game on the GBA and hope that our fans from the first Kingdom Hearts will continue their journey," said Ichiro Otobe, president and CEO of Square Enix.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories picks up right where Kingdom Hearts left off, with Sora, Goofy and Donald searching for Riku and the king of the Disney Castle.
The game makes use of a new card-based interface that will introduce gamers to an exciting way of playing in the Disney-themed worlds.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories will be released in North America on 7 December and in the UK in March 2005.
