Sims Shipped Off to University
Expansion pack for The Sims 2 coming.
EA has announced the first expansion pack for The Sims 2. As with The Sims before it, which saw seven expansion packs during its lifetime, the game's developer, Maxis, has taken gamer feedback to heart and The Sims 2: University marks the first of the upcoming answers to those requests.
The Sims 2: University allows Sims fans to take their characters on to higher education, where they will discover all that university life has to offer.
"We are thrilled to open up a whole new stage of life for the Sims, allowing players to lead them through all the challenges of university and living the exciting university lifestyle of the dorms, parties and exams," said Sinjin Bain, executive producer on The Sims 2.
"This title is also the first in a line of expansion packs that will address our players' desires, further develop The Sims 2 franchise and continually expand the world of the Sims creating almost endless gameplay and storytelling possibilities."
All the staples of university life are present, including part-time jobs, 11 different courses that lead on to four career paths and, of course, non-stop parties.
The Sims 2: University is set for release in March 2005 and requires a full copy of The Sims 2.
